February Goals

Happy Saturday friends!

This month I’ve decided I want to write out my monthly goals here on the blog. I feel putting it out there publicly will be that extra boost I need to get things done. I’m notorious for laying out an elaborate plan and becoming so overwhelmed I don’t get anything done! So by breaking things down to smaller actionable steps and sharing them with you, they will get done. And in by doing so I hope you share yours too! Either leave your monthly goals in the comment section or post your link. We can create a little community and keep each other accountable. Sounds good? Alright!

There are a few habits I’d like to work on this month in addition to some concrete goals. But the biggest and most exciting is go on our trip to Disney World! Kendall is beyond excited and so are mom + dad. Warm weather, good food and family is all we need. I’m just so blessed that we have this great opportunity to sneak away for a week and enjoy all that Disney has to offer.

February Goals

Workout 2x a week
Juice 3x a week
Journal every morning for at least 10 minutes
Complete podcast interview Completed today, yay!
Finish buying clothes for vacation
Go to Disney World!!! :]
Disconnect COMPLETELY during family vacation
Research cribs and co-sleepers
Prep for VBAC birthing class next month
Buy February birthday cards (a little behind on this one, oops!)
Launch two business extensions (in about week, yippee!!)
Complete Valentine’s for Kendall’s Friendship party at school

That sounds like a lot but doable! Don’t forget to share yours in the comments below!

Our Saturday

Last night we had KB stay over her God parents house. It was the first time both of us have been away from her for an entire night and I was nervous how she would do. Surprisingly well! Not one tear. Yay! It was a trial run for when Tyler will arrive and I’m relieved everything worked out.

Today is Wayne’s birthday so last night we went out to dinner and watched a movie. Boy was it strange not having to worry about anyone but ourselves! Yet we enjoyed waking up fairly late and going out to breakfast at our new favorite diner. I found them through our family photographer who suggested it when 2 years ago I wanted a cool black + white themed photo shoot. Their food is fantastic but their homey atmosphere is what makes it so well known. The owner (who had been washing dishes mind you – what a great example of getting your hands dirty!) kept stopping by and chatting with Wayne. Not to mention getting the ENTIRE diner to sing happy birthday to him. That was hilarious! But they exchanged business cards and a new friendship was born.

That’s a lesson in of itself on how to run a business.

Here are a few pictures of our Saturday in black + white.
These last 2 were taken by Kendall from the backseat. A future photag?

Cravings + Hormones

Hello cravings.

I’m not sure what happened this week but my self-control around food has gone out the door. I’ve been really good, up until this point, of eating healthy, working out and keeping my baby weight down.

But a girl NEEDS a milkshake…or two!

Luckily with this pregnancy, I’ve only gained about 10 pounds which is really good seeing as this time when I was pregnant with Kendall, I gained twice as much (stupid Wendy’s frosty floats!). So I don’t feel as guilty indulging in those comfort foods and sweets. So I have. Nightly at home we’ve been making soy chocolate milkshakes and hello are they delicious! I’m not one to crave something sweet, let alone chocolate so this is a first, but I like it!

And the hormones…can a girl get a tissue please? I’ve been crying at the drop of a hat from Beyonce’s “Listen” track (more on that later) to SPOILER ALERT!…Glee’s proposals (which the second one was followed by me throwing a pillow at the tv for ending the show like that). I was never a crier. In fact, I was the one making fun of my mom (sorry mom!) for crying at Hallmark commercials.

I totally get it now.

So who’s with me and these crazy pregnancy craving and hormones roller coaster rides?

1. Coffee Milkshake – yum! 2. Cute topping for milkshake glasses 3. Beyonce Listen

Personalized Mouse Pads (in progress…)

Sometimes inspiration hits me when least expected and majority of the time they turn our really well. So last week I wondered if people would use personalized mouse pads. So I ordered a few samples, created one and posted it on Facebook. Turns out a lot of you love the idea! So I played around with some patterns and colors and love where this is going.

So I’m throwing this out there, do you love small ones, which are perfect for small work areas or larger ones? And let me know your favorite color combinations!

Can’t wait to hear from you!

xo,
B

2012 Valentine’s Day: The Diamond Collection

And I’m saving the bling for last. Sunday will be the anniversary of Wayne popping the question with a gorgeous diamond in hand. It was a frigid night in New York City as we sat under a litted tree next to the ice skating rink in Rockefeller Plaza. But I was oblivious to everyone around me and the cold nipping at my nose as I said yes!

So I’m ending the 5 Days of Love with our diamond collection. Sprinkle a little sparkle on your Valentine’s Day gifts with packaging or dinnerware from our diamond collection.
