Dana Eason Photography

It’s always bittersweet wrapping things up with my branding clients. And this one in particular. Back in January I held a giveaway for a full branding package and all of the entries were so moving but Dana’s really struck a cord with me. I could feel her passion and excitement behind every word and once we started working together I just knew that we were meant to work together.

Over the course of a month I learned about Dana’s budding business and the reason she began this journey and I knew right then and there I had my work cut out for me because I had to represent her beauty, passion and life into a brand. And since we both worked hard we seamlessly came up with her new look. Simple, clean, modern and most importantly…Dana.

So head on over to her website and blog, check out her new digs and if you’re ever in the Georgia area and need a photographer, give her a ring.

Branding Package Giveaway Winner

Deciding who to give the branding package to was such a difficult choice. I asked tough questions and those that entered stepped up to the plate and delivered. I am so honored and happy that each of you shared your dreams and aspirations with me. They were all so moving. But the winner is Dana Eason. Her heartfelt story warmed my heart and I could feel the passion and desire in her words. She wrote:

I am in the business of making people see just how beautiful they really are through photographs! I started my photography business doing Lifestyle photography of babies, kids, and pets…. mainly because I was afraid, no, TERRIFIED of really going for my dream of shooting destination weddings. I began my business because I had a major tragedy occur in my life in 2007 that showed me life is way too short to not do something you want and love to do. I’d been a traveling IT consultant for 4 years and the work wasn’t satisfying. After February 0f 2007, I was determined to live a fuller life. The life that God wanted me to live so abundantly. It took 2 more years before I actually acted on my dream of being an entrepreneur and photographing life and love, but I made the leap and have been on a journey to ensure that the leap wasn’t taken in vain. My goal is simply to serve others through photographing them beautifully on their wedding day at a destination that is meaningful to them. I want to show my authentic self in all that I do and be profitable just by being myself and providing impeccable service to my clients.

Thank you so much for this opportunity Bridgett! I just found your blog today and I’m so SUPER glad that I did!!! xoxo

Dana I will be in touch in a couple of days to get started on your new journey!!

Because all of you are so amazingly driven, I want to help push your businesses to the next level. Send me an email to hello@bridgettedwards.com to receive more information on a special offer just for entering!

I’m so excited to show you my other branding project I completed last year. Positively Present is a blog that brings a daily dose of inspiration and uplifting words of encouragement. It’s all about being present in the moment. Focusing on being more positive regardless of what life brings you.

Dani, the editor, was a joy to work with. She knew exactly what she wanted and after a few rounds we nailed it. For the new year she released her new clean design which gives a sense of calm. So click on over for a dose of positivity.

If you, too, are in need a brand makeover, hop on over to my branding package giveaway or send me an email to hello @ bridgettedwards.com.

Branding Package Giveaway

I couldn’t be more excited to finally announce that Bridgett Edwards Graphic Design has launched with my new site now live! This venture is an extension of Perideau Designs which allows me to help others start their new business on the right foot and also for seasoned entrepreneurs to give their brand a face-lift. The idea began in July of last year and I have continue to organically grow this business. I’ve worked hard with amazing people and I’m ready to take it to the next level.

So I want to launch BEG with a giveaway: 1 complete branding package which includes: a color palette, a logo and collateral design. The is the whole she-bang, the diving board to a new business; a genuine, strong business. To enter leave a comment on this post explaining your business, why you began your business and what are your goals? These aren’t easy questions because last week at Making Things Happen (more on that later) I learned that easy questions will not make things happen. The tough questions that make you dig deep and get to the core of your vision is what will catapult you on your way to success.

So answer those questions by Friday, February 4th and on Monday I’ll update this post with the winner.

“Why let others define success for you? Here are two insights that can allow you to live successfully in your own way every day: 1) Compete only with your own best self. 2) Steadily move toward your own worthwhile goals.” — Martha Reid

Modern Melange

At the end of 2010, I wrapped up working with two great graphic design clients. First, I’d like to share Modern Melange, a soon-to-be jewelry and accessory shop on Etsy. Erica is a long-time friend and I was beyond thrilled when she contacted me for some business advice and then moved into a working relationship. She was looking for a modern logo to capture the feel of her jewelry but not pigeon hole as she has big aspirations to expand her line. I quickly captured her sense of style and designed a simple and sophisticated logo in two of my favorite colors: yellow and gray. I can’t wait until she opens her shop and see her business flourish!

Branding Package

I’ve had a lot of design inquires lately which forces me to put on my creative hat and think outside the box. My friend contacted me asking for a little makeover for her etsy shop, Sassylicious. Her simple request was for pink, blue and brown and polka dots. Because she sews toddler backpacks, pillow dresses, and other goodies for the wee ones I incorporated a needle and thread. Simple, fun, and versatile!

Re-branding package

A strong brand and logo is what sets you apart from the rest. No one knows this more than Tara, blogger and designer for Scoutie Girl. She asked me to re-design her logo and brand to give her blog a mini face lift. I was excited yet nervous to take on this project, I mean designing for a designer? That’s no easy task but I took it on and voila! A fun, flirty, spring-like look for Scoutie Girl. The package includes: a logo, 2 different size blog banners, a blog side header, and business cards. The design is versatile enough that when the seasons change, so can the colors but the foundation has been laid. Thank you so much Tara for letting me work with you. Enjoy your new look!
